The Eureka occurrence is situated 2 kilometres northeast of Mount Bodine in the Hogem Ranges, approximately 18 kilometres northeast of Takla Landing.

The area is underlain by felsic volcanic and sedimentary members of the Upper Triassic to/or Jurassic Sitlika Assemblage. To the west, volcanic members include rhyolitic and dacitic flows, breccia, and tuff, while weakly graphitic argillite dominates to the east. These rocks generally strike between 150 to 160 degrees, with relatively shallow west dips.

The Eureka occurrence is a shear hosted vein system approximately 5 metres wide that dips about 85 degrees southwest in a highly strained felsic flow. Sericitization proximal to major veins has resulted in the development of paper schist. It consists of siliceous boudins, measuring 70 by 30 centimetres, hosting disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite. The boudins are enclosed in a gouge-like matrix of sheared rhyolite and are located near the pyritic felsic volcanic/sediment contact (Assessment Report 8485, page 6). Another report describes the occurrence as a 1 to 2 metre wide massive sulphide lens exposed "across" 6 metres (Assessment Report 9547). The best assay from surface samples taken of this mineralization is 4.34 per cent copper, 0.05 per cent zinc, 1.99 grams per tonne gold and 77.14 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 9547, page 5). A 127.5-metre diamond-drill hole intersected scattered intervals of copper and zinc mineralization in 1989, the best interval grading 0.44 per cent zinc across 3.8 metres (Assessment Report 19935).

The Eureka zone was intersected in the 2008 drill program 80 metres below the surface, where five quartz veins 1 centimetre to over 1 metre in width are characterized as heavy bull quartz with coarse euhedral clots of 4 to 5 per cent pyrite and only traces of chalcopyrite, galena, and chalcopyrite.

The New Bodine occurrence is located 75 metres south of the Eureka occurrence, in the same creek that flows through Eureka. New Bodine is near the contact between a massive coherent felsic flow and penecontemporaneous heterolithic breccias. Copper-zinc mineralization in heterolithic fragmental rocks is present as a series of stringers and disseminations of chalcopyrite and sphalerite in an area characterized by enhanced iron-carbonate alteration. A 2008 drill hole was drilled on the showing but was not reported on.

The Crystal is third zone situated approximately 200 to 500 metres west of the Eureka that consists of a 2 to 5 centimetre wide band of pyritic chert at the contact between chloritic volcaniclastics and massive rhyolite. Significant assays from samples of this mineralization have not been reported.

WORK HISTORY

In 1974, Kennco Exploration Inc. completed regional silt sampling, EM survey and geological mapping on the property. In 1975, McIntyre Mines Ltd. completed reconnaissance geology and silt geochemistry surveys, resulting in the discovery of the Eureka and Crystal showings on the Ruth claims. Over the next two years McIntyre Mines completed helicopter-borne EM and magnetometer surveys with geological and geochemical follow-up work.

In 1978, Shell Canada Resources Ltd. completed reconnaissance geology in the Mount Bodine area and staked the Sykes 7 claim. In 1979, Shell Canada conducted geological and soils surveys on 10 grids on the SKYE claims which yielded several copper plus/minus zinc anomalies, some of which are associated with felsic volcanics (Assessment Report 7642)

In 1980, Canadian Superior conducted geological mapping and rock sampling on the RUTH property which revealed anomalous zinc and lesser copper anomalies in felsic volcanics near older sedimentary rocks (Assessment Report 8485).

In 1981, Shell Canada conducted geological, soil and electromagnetic surveys on the Ruth property which outlined an open copper-zinc soil anomaly outlined. Ground EM did not confirm airborne results (Assessment Report 9547).

In 1982, Chris Gaf staked the Sitlika claims on what were the Ruth claims which were allowed to lapse. Over the next year further geological mapping and soil geochemical surveys were conducted. In 1984, C. Graf conducted a small soil survey on the RUTH area which was inconclusive (Assessment Report 12916)

In 1986, Noranda Exploration conducted soil, electromagnetic and magnetometer surveys on the RUTH area and outlined a strong zinc and copper soil anomaly, and a conductor coincident with a graphitic horizon (Assessment Report 14780). The conductor and soil anomaly were not coincident. In 1987, Noranda Exploration conducted magnetometer and induced polarization surveys in the RUTH area and found a linear magnetic high associated with pyritic cherty rhyolite/quartzite horizon (Assessment Report 16038). In 1989, Noranda Exploration completed two diamond-drill holes, one on the Eureka showing (127.5 metres) and another on the Rod claim (80.5 metres).

In 1996 Angel Jade Mines Ltd Prospecting identified several indications of potential volcanogenic massive sulphide environment on the Bodine property (old RUTH property) (Assessment Report 24658).

In 1999 L. B. Warren conducted prospecting and soil sampling which revealed three coincident Cu-Zn-Pb anomalies on MS (RUTH area) claims (Assessment Report 26400). The MS claims occupies the area drilled in 2008 (hole 8006) by Amarc.

In 2008, Amarc Resources, conducted soil sampling which revealed multi-element coincident anomalies in silt and soil. Copper and zinc soil warranted follow-up. (Assessment Reports 29729 and 31167).

In 2008 and 2009, Amarc Resource drilled a total of 3,660.9 metre in 12 holes on the Bodine-Warren claims (Assessment Report 31438). Of that total, 2,241.2 metres was drilled in 2008, and 1419.7 metres in 2009.
